The 40-Year Story of the Renaissance

The Renaissance is a 112m Super-Yacht  that has become legendary as it took four decades of experience and imagination to transform it into a temple of leisure and a sanctum of tranquility.

Some early sketches for an initial project were penned nearly 40 years ago by legendary designer Jon Bannenberg but by the time the client had refined their checklist of everything they would want to see on the yacht, Jon was no longer with us and his son, Dickie Bannenberg took the project over at Bannenberg & Rowell Design.

Finally brought to life and incredibly voluminous, the Renaissance elevates the extraordinary to new heights and the design is both highly personal and made for luxury charter. Measured by volume, it is the 29th largest yacht afloat today.

Owner Spa Bathroom with Siminetti ‘Natural’ Freshwater Pearl Mosaics

‘Her’ dressing rooms have become a prized part of the boat and every detail was thought through with the owner. For her personal bathroom, the designers and owner chose Siminetti’s ‘Natural’ mother of pearl mosaic tiles.

A mosaic wall frames the luxury bath matching the marble finish colours and offering a gorgeous and stunning backdrop in which to soak away the hours.

The sense of quiet luxury continues to the other side of the bathroom where the natural iridescence of the Siminetti tiles frame the single but spacious washbasin. The mother of pearl truly illuminates this area playing with further light reflections in and around the large horizontal mirror.

Even the shower zone is a true statement. Very roomy, the pearl mosaics complete the scheme on the shower walls enveloping you in an atmosphere of serenity and well-being.

Siminetti ‘Natural’ mosaics with their soft, gentle iridescent tones create a true sense of relaxation. They are perfect to design an atmosphere of serenity and stillness.

Wellness Massage Room with Siminetti ‘Jade’ Mosaics

Having a big spa was part of the non-negotiables to have on board and the Renaissance includes wellness facilities with beauty and hair salons, sauna, steam room, and massage room.

For the massage room, Siminetti’s mother of pearl square mosaics in ‘Jade’ provide a beautiful backdrop behind the mirrors and washbasins to make the daily beauty and self-care rituals an ultimate wellness experience.

Jade is a colour naturally associated with wellness and the rich emerald tones of Siminetti’s ‘Jade’ mosaic tiles exude that sense of relaxation. The massage room becomes a sanctuary for recharging and the discovery of the senses.
